From the time or day you finally decided you wanted to study Abroad, your adventure began. It starts with the decision/choice of where and what program best suites you. There are diverse programs to choose from and choosing a perfect program can sometimes be tricky. As one of my Study Abroad Advisors suggested to me only apply to the program you are really interested in and also eligible for. Because, some programs comes with expensive application fees and applying to all programs will hurt your bank account or whoever will be funding your trip!

- Start with your academic or study abroad advisor. Make it a point to meet with them to discuss programs.
- There are diverse programs to choose from, so utilize your school’s Office of International Education for program selection.
- Pay careful attention to the programs’ requirements and your eligibility.
- Contact your school’s Office of Student Financial Aid to learn about scholarships and loans that available for students studying abroad
- With help from parents and other financial institution to plan out a budget, comparing the money you have to the total budget/cost for your program choice. (There are diverse financial resources available for students interested in studying abroad)
- Sign up for study abroad and travel guide newsletters. It is very helpful.
